A tank of gas is good for a couple hours of cutting. I've probably been through 75 tanks of gas in 3 years. The toolless tensioner was not a factor when I bought it, but I love it now. It starts everytime, if you follow the directions printed on the saw. i have cut up a bunch of trees around my house with it. The only issue I had was that the item came with the cutting chain put in backwards, so the cutting power was non existent to start so much for their quality control!, and ready to use out of the box! On the verge of wanting to packing it up and send it back, due to its poor cutting performance, I managed to work out what the problem was! thanks to a little diagram on case of the unit. once I had determined this, I was able to correct the issue fairly easily no thanks to the manual which is a little long winded and involves a lot of moving back and forwards though the book, as they have chosen to put all the relevant pictures at the start of the book and so when reading a section, you are referred to the correct picture via a number in the passage. Once all this was finished however I feel a lot more confident with the machine and its maintenance and as reported it worked great. |
